Job Description

Shepherd University seeks a Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator to join our team. The Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator reports directly to the Head Athletic Trainer. Lead in assisting men and women student-athletes to reach performance goals through the development and management of individual and group weight, strength and fitness training programs. Work with the Athletic training staff and qualified sports medicine personnel on the reduction of sports-related injuries and proper prevention methods in multiple sports. Will abide by and complies with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rules, academic standards, requirements, and policies of Shepherd University.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required with an emphasis in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Physical Education. Must have progressive experience with the development and management of sport-specific individuals and group strength training programs for men and women. CSCS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree is preferred. Experience with development and management of strength training programs at the college/university level is preferred. Any experience in management of a health/fitness or weight training facility is preferred. Student-athlete experience, in any sport at the collegiate level, is preferred.
