Social Sciences Description Summary:
This position is in the Department of Social Sciences. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty position. The rank and tenure-status of the position is negotiable based on qualifications. The area of specialization is open. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad range of classes from introductory freshmen courses in world and American history to specialized upper division courses.
Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach at least four (4) classes per semester. Advise students. Participate in the department, college, and university's activities including recruitment and new course development. Perform other duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.): Master's degree in history. At least 1 to 3 years of teaching experience at the college level. Highly desirable that candidates be familiar with innovative teaching and advising techniques and best practices in pedagogy.
