Classical 6th-7th Grade Teacher

Job Overview St. Monica's is seeking a reliable, experienced, and faith-filled teacher to lead a multi-level, self-contained classroom of or 6th-7th grade students. The ideal candidate is both academically strong and deeply committed to the Catholic faith, capable of forming students intellectually and spiritually. Experience in classical education is preferred. St. Monica's is an in-home school and homeschool hybrid proudly serving Gilbert, AZ. Founded by a grandmother seeking an excellent education for her grandchild, St. Monica's provides formation rooted in Catholic teaching through rigorous academics, daily prayer, and religious formation using Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Our unique environment allows students to grow beyond grade-level boundaries, receive individualized instruction, and take on meaningful responsibilities within a close-knit community. Responsibilities Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans across core subjects: math, science, ELA, history, religion, and Latin. Spalding trained a plus. Foster a structured, orderly classroom environment rooted in Catholic principles Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to engage a multi-level group of students. Integrate faith and reason across all subject areas. Communicate effectively with families and support the mission of the school. Requirements Practicing Catholic in good standing who faithfully adheres to the teachings of the Magisterium. Proven experience teaching in a classroom setting, with demonstrated strength in classroom management. Strong working knowledge of core academic subjects. Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance. Flexible and adaptable to schedule changes in a dynamic, in-home school environment. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, mission-driven community. Bachelor's degree required. Classical education experience preffered. Able to pass a background check and be Safe Environment Certified through the Diocese of Phoenix.

Pay:

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
