Job Description

Job Overview We are a new, 2-physician, patient-centered retina practice dedicated to delivering exceptional medical and surgical retinal care in a compassionate, efficient, and professional environment. Our practice is focused on building a strong team culture with outstanding patient experiences and high clinical standards. We are seeking a motivated Ophthalmic Technician who is excited to grow with a modern retina specialty practice. Responsibilities Prepare patients for retina evaluations by obtaining medical and ocular histories Perform visual acuity testing, OCT imaging, fundus photography, IOP measurements Assist physicians with retinal examinations, intravitreal injections, laser procedures, and minor in-office treatments Administer dilating drops and other ophthalmic medications as directed Accurately document patient findings and physician assessments in the EMR Educate patients regarding injections, imaging, medications, and follow-up care Maintain efficient patient flow in a fast-paced retina clinic Clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment and exam rooms Collaborate with physicians and staff to provide exceptional patient care Qualifications Prior ophthalmology experience preferred; retina experience strongly preferred Experience with OCT imaging and retinal diagnostics preferred COA or COT certification preferred but not required Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently Excellent communication and patient care skills Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Experience with ophthalmic EMR systems preferred (Nextech, ModMed, etc) What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for advancement and certification support Positive, collaborative work environment Modern, technology-focused retina practice Consistent weekday schedule with occasional call responsibilities on evenings and weekends
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
