We provide a rigorous, college-preparatory education grounded in continuous assessment and a commitment to the whole child. We are seeking a Middle and High School History Teacher who is passionate about their craft and ready to make a lasting impact in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Your Role Will Include Teaching History and Social Studies to middle and high school students using Arizona Academic Standards with engaging, rigorous, and age-appropriate daily lesson plans. Using formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction. Differentiating instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners. Establishing and maintaining a structured, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment. Supporting interdisciplinary learning and collaborating with colleagues across grade levels and content areas. Communicating regularly and professionally with students, families, and school staff. Participating in team meetings, professional development, curriculum planning, and school events. Supporting students' social-emotional development and overall well-being. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. 3 or more years of teaching experience preferred. Arizona Department of Education Certification (preferred). Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Creative and engaging instructional style with a genuine passion for teaching. Collaborative team player with a positive, professional demeanor. Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Salary and Benefits Pay:
$55,000 to $62,750 per year. Medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer contributions. Life insurance and short and long-term disability plans. 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar employer match up to 13%, eligible starting Day 1 (pre-tax and Roth options). Health savings account. Location & Shift Times Sonoran Science Academy Tucson. Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM.
