Job Description
Description The 5th Grade Language Arts Teacher is responsible for creating a faith-filled, academically rigorous classroom environment that supports students' intellectual, spiritual, moral, and social development in accordance with the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese's educational standards. The teacher will provide engaging instruction in all subject areas while integrating Catholic values throughout the curriculum. Instructional Responsibilities Prepare and deliver engaging standards-based instruction in all subject areas for 5th-grade students. Utilize a variety of instructional methods, educational technology, and assessment tools. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and administration. (Weekly) Faith Formation and Catholic Identity Support the spiritual development of students through prayer, service, and faith-centered discussions. Participate in school liturgies, retreats, religious activities, and other faith-based events. Collaboration and Professionalism Collaborate with faculty, staff, administration, and parents to support student success promptly. Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct at all times. Support the overall mission and philosophy of the Catholic school community. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Language Arts, or a related field. Valid state teaching certification/license preferred or required according to Archdiocesan policy. Practicing Catholic preferred. Knowledge of Catholic teachings and commitment to Catholic education. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
