Per course adjunct faculty for the Teacher Education Department course, MSTE 411/511-02 Fieldwork Seminar I Wednesdays 4:45pm-6:45pm Hybrid August 30-December 18, 2026 Founded in 1863, Saint Mary's is a residential campus nestled 20 miles east of San Francisco in the picturesque Moraga Valley. Qualifications:

MSTE 411/511-02- Fieldwork Seminar I ( 2 units) The purpose of this course is to support credential candidates as they complete their first Supervised Teaching placement (fieldwork). Candidates will discuss and reflect upon their development as teachers and professionals while they explore challenging issues impacting children and teachers in education. In this course, candidates will refine their classroom management and professional development plans, continue their study of methods and strategies for establishing caring and culturally responsive classroom communities. Candidates will establish communication with parents and engage broadly with the school and community. Candidates will also extend their knowledge of how to incorporate the arts into their instruction and deepen their knowledge of the California Arts Educational Framework.

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Education or related field 5 years of experience teaching in K-12 settings Knowledge of the major theories in child development Knowledge of the major theories of learning Knowledge of atypical development associated with various disabilities Knowledge of how K-12 children differ in their development and learning approaches to support the development and learning of individual children Must be a California resident.
