Job Description

Redwood Cooperative School's part-time Extended Day teacher provides direct supervision of children (Prek-7th) and is responsible for the successful implementation of quality after-school care. The Extended Day teacher will work in collaboration with other staff to provide programs that foster children's social, physical, and emotional growth; and ensure the health, welfare and safety of the program. They must be warm and welcoming to all students and families in the program. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with students and fostering enthusiasm for play and engagement. Responsibilities include planning and implementing lessons, activities, and games. This position is perfect for someone looking for practice in those areas. Extended Day teachers will be outside the majority of their working hours (weather permitting). Hours for the position will be approximately 3-6 p.m.
Qualities:
Experience or familiarity with Positive Discipline Skills in supporting social-emotional growth and facilitating conflict resolution with campers, and being in respectful partnership with parents Self-motivated, self-disciplined, professional, and energetic Ability to work as part of a close-knit team
