Position SummaryMystic Valley Regional Charter School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable High School History Teacher who is committed to academic excellence and student success. The ideal candidate is a collaborative educator who believes all students can achieve at high levels and is dedicated to continually improving instructional practice.

Teachers at Mystic Valley work closely with colleagues to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction while fostering a structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

Essential ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging, standards-aligned history instruction to students in Grades 912.Plan and implement lessons that promote critical thinking, historical analysis, and content mastery.

Design and administer assessments to measure student learning and academic growth.

Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and improve outcomes.

Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student success.

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, instructional strategies, and grade-level initiatives.

Communicate regularly and effectively with students, families, and school staff.

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide activities.

Attend and actively participate in the annual three-week staff orientation and training program.

Uphold the mission, values, and academic expectations of Mystic Valley Regional Charter School.

QualificationsBachelor's degree required; appropriate teaching licensure or eligibility preferred.

Strong knowledge of U.S. History, World History, and historical inquiry.

Passion for teaching and helping students achieve academic excellence.

Demonstrated ability to create engaging and effective classroom instruction.

Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
