• 12 located in Towson, Maryland, seeks a full-time Social Studies teacher for the 2026
• 2027 school year for the Upper Level (Grades 9
• 12).

This position involves teaching five sections of 9th grade United States Government. These courses emphasize analytical writing, source-based inquiry, and discussion-centered instruction. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing students' historical thinking skills, including argumentation, use of evidence, and critical analysis, while fostering an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. Candidates should be eager to collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and contribute to a dynamic and supportive department. Dates for the 10-month position are August 16th to June 15th (as well as attending new employee orientation August 17, 18 & 19, 2026). Annual reporting dates based on school calendar. Key Responsibilities:

Teach up to five sections of Social Studies courses in a college-preparatory environment Serve as an advisor and mentor to Upper Level students, fostering their academic success and personal growth Collaborate with colleagues to design, evaluate, and enhance curriculum and instructional practice Pursue ongoing professional development and remain current with best practices in teaching and learning Contribute meaningfully to the broader school community through service, student activities, and other responsibilities as assigned

Desired Qualifications:
