Job Summary:
Provide expertise and on-going support to enhance the skills and effectiveness of beginning teachers.
Required Activities of Mentoring Program:
Half-day release time for cooperative planning and observations with the approval of the Director of Elementary Education and/or Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment At least 35 hours of observation, planning and conferencing with the Mentee Submit a log for at least thirty-five (35) hours of observation, planning and conferencing with the Mentee Participate in trainings and activities for Mento/Mentoring Coordinator
Criteria For Selection:
Permanent or Professional Certification Granted Tenure Mastery of subject matter/Pedagogical skills Respected by peers/interpersonal skills Communication skills
Salary:
Prorated at $700 per year
