  • AFT, Local 3571 Position Summary Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept Position Summary This position is an Adjunct Instructor position in the Geography Academic Area in the School of Earth, Environment, and Society for the Academic Year 2025-2026. The usual courses our pool of adjunct instructors teach are 100
  • and 200-level geography courses taken mainly by undergraduate students at Portland State University.
For Winter and Spring Term 2026, we are looking for the expertise to teach 300/400/500 level courses in Global Water Issues and Sustainability and GIS for Water Resources. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in geography, GIS, or a closely related field OR years of relevant experience in a professional field. Preferred Qualifications Preferably a Ph.D. in geography or closely related field. Key Cultural Competencies
