ABOUT ELITE PREP AUSTIN
Elite Prep Austin is a local tutoring center helping students in grades 5-12 achieve their academic goals. We're looking for passionate educators to join our team.
ABOUT THE JOB
We seek an energetic instructor to teach AP History (US, European, and/or World) AP Human Geography, AP Government & Politics and AP Psychology to motivated high school students in small classroom settings. You'll work with groups of 1-3 students using our established curriculum and lesson plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements for employment: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent (required) Strong subject matter expertise in History and other Social Studies Ability to teach AP-level content (including AP Exam Prep) Preferred Qualifications Prior teaching or tutoring experience High school math teaching experience Dynamic, engaging instructional style Strong communication skills
JOB DESCRIPTION
Applicants can expect to teach and/or tutor individual students, small groups, and classes of up to 15 students. Teachers will be assigned academic subjects, test prep courses, and counseling duties according to their strengths. They will plan classes around provided class material, handle attendance and other academic record keeping, complete student evaluations, be consulted about curriculum design, and attend faculty meetings and workshops.

Part-time Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Flexible scheduling available. Shifts include weekday afternoons/evenings (1:00-9:00 PM) and Saturday mornings.
