Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate in subject area assigned Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) and hold a Statement of Eligibility (SOE) to be eligible for employment

Responsibilities:

Specific knowledge of subject assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills All other duties as assigned

Salary:

$63,000 for Beginning teacher with "0" years experience (Based on 2025-2026 Compensation Plan) $1,000 Master's Degree addenda Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda Sports stipends listed in LPISD Compensation Plan

Pay Grade:

Certified Instructional, 10

ACP Candidates must attach the Statement of Eligibility (SOE). The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.
