The Demonstration Teacher serves as a hybrid instructional leader who supports the successful implementation of district instructional materials, instructional frameworks, and instructional expectations through modeling, coaching, and demonstration classroom practices. This role is designed to provide job-embedded support for teachers through classroom modeling, observation and feedback coaching cycles, and collaboration focused on high-quality Tier 1 instruction. Demonstration Teachers maintain an active classroom teaching assignment while also providing instructional coaching and support to teachers on their campus and, when applicable, other campuses within the district.Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned TIA DesignationSpecial Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of subjects assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to coach and support teachersExperience:
At least 5 years of teaching experience Experience with Bluebonnet Learning instructional materials preferredRole Structure:
Teach students for one-half of the instructional day Serve in a coaching and support role for one-half of the instructional dayMajor Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Demonstration and Modeling Maintain a high-functioning demonstration classroom aligned to district instructional expectations. Implement district-adopted instructional materials with fidelity, including Bluebonnet Learning. Maintain classroom environments and room setups aligned to district instructional look-fors and non-negotiables. Open classroom for observation visits by teachers, instructional staff, and administrators. Model effective instructional strategies and instructional delivery aligned to district expectations. Facilitate post-observation debrief conversations with visiting teachers. Coaching and Teacher Support Participate in and implement the district observation and feedback coaching model. Conduct non-evaluative coaching cycles focused on teacher growth and instructional improvement. Observe classrooms and provide actionable feedback aligned to district instructional expectations. Support teachers through modeling lessons, co-teaching, planning support, and instructional reflection. Assist teachers in understanding and implementing curriculum resources with fidelity. Support teachers in instructional planning and classroom implementation. Professional Learning and Collaboration Attend required district summer training sessions and implementation meetings. Support and facilitate district and campus professional learning beginning in the fall semester. Collaborate with district leadership and campus leadership to supportimplementation efforts. Participate in PLCs and support effective PLC implementation aligned to district expectations. Assist with implementation monitoring and support instructional consistency across classrooms. Leadership and Communication Serve as a campus instructional leader and model professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Communicate campus implementation needs, successes, and challenges with campus and district leadership Support a culture of continuous learning and instructional excellence Reporting Structure Reports directly to the campus principal. Receives ongoing support, coaching, and feedback from the district curriculum and instruction team.Supervisory Responsibilities:
