The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging classroom environment that sets the tone for a successful school year while building strong foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional development.
Responsibilities include:
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, with support from the General Studies Principal. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding student growth and development. Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and the General Studies Principal to support student success. Integrate social-emotional learning into daily classroom instruction and routines. Maintain a well-organized classroom and implement effective classroom management strategies. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about elementary education, committed to student growth, and able to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
