The Theology Teacher plays a vital role in guiding students as they explore their faith, Catholic values, and moral reasoning. The ideal candidate will cultivate an engaging, supportive learning environment that fosters spiritual growth and critical thinking among students in grades 6-8. Additionally, this teacher will collaborate with elementary grade teachers to enhance the delivery of theological concepts and values across the curriculum.
QUALIFICATIONS
Practicing Catholic in Good Standing is required. Eligible for teacher certification by VDOE or VCEA. Strong commitment to Catholic education and the mission of All Saints Catholic School. Familiarity with current Church documents and educational directives related to Catholic schools. Strong understanding of Catholic teachings and tradition and a commitment to fostering a faith-based learning environment. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with faculty and families to strengthen school culture. Organize and participate in school-wide religious events, retreats, and community service projects that promote spiritual engagement and social responsibility. - Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate theology into other subject areas and interdisciplinary projects.
