Duties (include but are not limited to): Demonstrate knowledge of subject(s) through instructional practices Guide the learning process toward the achievement of learning goals Use both formative and summative assessment information to provide students with feedback, which is corrective and informative Familiarity with Common Core State StandardsEstablish and maintain standards of student behavior conducive to an effective learning environment Develop written lesson plans in advance Direct and supervise the work of paraprofessionals, volunteers and student teachers assigned to the classroomUse creative teaching approaches developed specifically for at-risk studentsMaintain productive lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues concerning both the academic and social progress of all studentsImplement administrative directives in a professional manner (re: new programs and policies)Adhere to all District policies and regulations
