JOB SUMMARY
To teach a combination of social studies classes offered in Grades 9-12 for the 2026-2027 school year, which may include dual credit classes through Seattle University's Matteo Ricci Program.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary is dependent upon experience, certification, and education according to Kennedy Catholic's faculty compensation schedule. For the 2024-2025 school year, a teacher's salary ranges between $59,320and $112,590. Medical, dental, and life insurance through the Archdiocese of Seattle Participation in the Archdiocesan defined contribution program and voluntary 403b program In-building child/dependent tuition support Opportunities to participate/assist with a wide array of co-curricular programs, including athletics, arts, campus ministry, and other clubs and activities for additional modest stipends

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in history or an adjacent field Master's degree in the specific content area or a related field Washington State Teaching Credential (or ability to obtain one) Familiarity with educational technology Recent classroom experience, preferably in a high school setting The ideal candidate will possess the skills and abilities to: Work with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and learning abilities Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners Effectively utilize educational technology to enhance the learning of students Use data to inform instructional practices Work collaboratively within the department on curriculum and assessments Be flexible and resourceful Be organized and an effective communicator with all members of the school community Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
