Job Description:
The Department of History at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY is seeking part-time instructors to teach History of Sports. Preferred applicants will have teaching experience in history and familiarity with Bellarmine. In addition to the course, the instructor is expected to be available to students, including a minimum of one hour of office hours held weekly and during finals week. The course is taught in person and on campus. At Bellarmine, History of Sports is a survey of sports in America will concentrate on the history of sports from the early Olympic games to the present. The course will trace the development of school, inter-collegiate, and professional sports, and the impact they have had on today's culture.
Requirements:
A Master's or doctoral degree in History is required and must be awarded by May 2026.
