The Department of Art at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga College of Arts and Sciences seeks part-time faculty in Art History. Applicants from all specializations are invited to apply. The successful candidate(s) will teach 1-3 of the following courses. Please indicate which course(s) you are applying to teach.
These classes include:
A general education art appreciation survey (online format) A beginning level survey of Art from 1400CE to Present (online or in person) A junior level special topics course (online or in person) A senior level special topics course (online or in person) Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students through: Preparing course plans and materials Delivering courses Monitoring progress/attendance Recording grades and submitting reports Working with full-time faculty to ensure consistency amongst classes and collect information for general education requirements
Qualifications:
Instructors with a Doctoral degree or ABD, as well as candidates with an MFA with at least two (2) years of teaching experience preferred. This is a part-time, temporary position that may require day, evening and/or weekend availability.
