A Law Professor teaches national and regional legislative ideas and truths, as well as the methods used in practicing various forms of law to students through a combination of classroom instruction, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field. In some cases, law professors will perform legal services.

Job Description
The University of Alabama School of Law seeks to fill up tofour tenure-track positions for the 2027-28 academic year, including twopositions for lateral candidates at the Associate or Full Professor of Lawrank. Candidates must have outstanding academic credentials,including a J.D.from an accredited law school or an equivalent degree (such as a Ph.D. in arelated field). Qualified candidateswith expertise in any of the followingfields will be considered: criminal law and procedure, contracts, property,civil procedure, consumerlaw, business law, tax law, intellectual property,and technology/AI.
