Position description The University of California, Irvine School of Law is inviting qualified lectures to teach courses in our Juris Doctor program (non-clinical). While we will consider proposals for any courses reflecting applicants' specialized expertise in unique areas of law, we often have a need for lecturers in the following areas:
Evidence Criminal Procedure Criminal Law Remedies Family Law Federal Courts Community Property Secured Transactions Intellectual Property Business Law International Law Trial Advocacy Entertainment & Sports Law Tax Exempt Organizations General Duties of Lecturers:
In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus, handouts, exercises, exams and other assessment tools), and maintaining a course website. UCI Law is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching. All grading obligations must be completed in a timely manner.
