A Law Professor teaches national and regional legislative ideas and truths, as well as the methods used in practicing various forms of law to students through a combination of classroom instruction, field experience, and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. May assist or lead in the creation of the curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field. In some cases, law professors will perform legal services.

Job Description

Visiting Professor of Law, Legal Skills California Western School of Law seeks up to two full-time visiting professors forour 2026-2027 first-year Legal Skills program. Faculty in our Legal Skills program teach two sections of Legal Skills I in the fall and twosections of Legal Skills II in the spring. We invite applications from candidates who have a demonstrated interest in skills teaching, andwho are excited about being part of a collegial, student-oriented, and committed faculty.
Minimum Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exceptional academic record. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Technological competence.
