May assist or lead in the creation of the curriculum to be taught. In addition to instruction, they may assist or lead in research initiatives relating to their field. In some cases, law professors will perform legal services.

Queens Campus - Charlotte Position Summary Elon University School of Law invites applications from faculty candidates with law teaching experience to join the full-time faculty at our new Charlotte location, which will welcome its first full-time class in August 2027. We are interested in faculty who can teach first-year courses. The positions will start in summer 2027. The success of Elon Law's innovative, highly experiential, full-time 2.5-year curriculum has led us to open a second full-time law program at our campus in Charlotte, North Carolina. We seek a colleague who is eager to contribute to our mission: blending strong classroom instruction with experiential learning to fully equip a vibrant generation of practice-ready law graduates, while pursuing forward-looking scholarship and embracing excellence in teaching, mentoring, service and scholarship. Required qualifications include a J.D. or equivalent law degree, outstanding academic credentials, substantive practice experience, and admission with good standing to practice.
