What you will be doing:
You will play a critical role in helping library users of all types to find and use information sources, which is key to the effective operation of theAlaska State Library:
- by creating original catalog records in the Alaska Library Catalog (SirsiDynix Symphony) and OCLC, of published and unique content,
- by maintaining and updating bibliographic and holdings records, in accordance with local, state, and national standards,
- by sharing your expertise in a cooperative environment, providing input and/or guidance related to all aspects of the library catalog and metadata,
- by providing, as part of a team, public service at the Alaska State Library's front desk.

Minimum Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college in library or information science, media services, or a closely related field.
