Full Job Description Description:
The LNDL Part-Time Reference Librarian will provide reference assistance for students, staff, faculty, and community on Sunday afternoons, as well as Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This position may include additional evening and weekend hours, in a substitute capacity when available. Review begins immediately and continues until the position is filled.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
None Position Responsibilities:
Responds to faculty, student, staff, or community requests for information in person at the Help Desk, via phone, email, or chat Assists patrons in finding materials and information using print and non-print sources with the online catalog, databases, related software, and internet use Provides excellent customer service to patrons and establishes good working relationships with colleagues, students, and faculty Assists Access Services staff with patrons as needed Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal communication skills Strong public service orientation Experience delivering excellent customer service
Education and Experience:
ALA-accredited master's degree Familiarity with reference services practices and procedures in multiple formats
