The anticipated hiring range for this position will be $82,352 to $117,060 based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. THIS RECRUITMENT WILL GENERATE A 6-MONTH ELIGIBLE LIST TO FILL CURRENT AND FUTURE VACANCIES FOR THE LIBRARIAN II POSITIONS AT ALL BRANCH LOCATIONS WITHIN MCPL.

Hours for this position: Library hours of operation are 7 days a week including evenings, days, and weekends. Employees are expected to be available for work during these times. Individual schedules, including evenings and weekends, will vary based on branch operational needs.

Experience:

Two (2) years of professional experience as a librarian in a public library system comparable to Montgomery County's system.

Education:

Master's degree in library science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association.

Equivalency:

None.

License/Certifications:

Employees will be responsible for maintaining appropriate level of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to sustain licensing.

Experience and familiarity with web applications and new technologies.
