The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) employs nearly 2,300 team members operating institutions statewide, which house approximately 5,800 inmates. The department's focus includes inmate programming and education, physical and behavioral health care, re-entry services, and community programs, and is accredited by the American Correctional Association (ACA). Currently, the Omaha Correctional Center is seeking a self-motivated, results-driven candidate in the position of Corrections Librarian. DUTIES:
Under limited supervision, manages the library services and operations within a correctional institution including both a recreational library and a legal library. Duties include maintaining circulation; conducting inter-library loans; procuring, processing, and cataloging books and other materials such as periodicals, CDs, DVDs, materials, documents, images and supplies. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Post high school coursework/training in library science and experience in providing library services and serving the library users.
