Responsible for providing professional library services to hospital employees and medical staff. Provides professional library services to all hospital employees and the medical staff of the circuit hospitals and documents the provision of those services Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Master's degree in Library Science from a school accredited by the American Library Association and three to five years of previous work related experience. Certification by the Medical Library Association preferred. Work requires the analytical ability to gather and interpret data in situations where the information or problems are not overly difficult or complex. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, explain hospital policies and relay messages to appropriate personnel.
