Position Description:
Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri invites
applications for a highly organized and service-focused individual to coordinate and oversee all circulation processes at the C-SC Library.
The Library Services and Circulation Coordinator will support the C-SC community by performing a wide variety of general library work (see
responsibilities below). Additionally, special projects (e.g., digitization, weeding, archives maintenance) regularly arise in both the
library and C-SC Archives, and additional duties or responsibilities may emerge as related and necessary. The Library Services and
Circulation Coordinator reports to the Library Director.
Responsibilities:
Provides friendly and welcoming
assistance in-person, on the phone, or via email to patrons with general information desk questions, particularly as they seek, find, check
out, or renew materials
Serves as MOBIUS liaison for all circulation problems/queries/processing
Oversees the
maintenance of the Course Reserves collection
Manages electronic database and serials subscription services
Prepares
statistics for assessment, annual internal, state, or federal reports
Provides assistance with InterLibrary Loan requests from
external libraries
Provides assistance with new book processing
Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises student workers
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required; MLS or equivalent desired.
Familiarity with basic office
software/programs (Google Workspace; Microsoft Office; Zoom); familiarity with Library Management Systems (FOLIO, Millenium/Sierra,
SirsiDynix, or OCLC) preferred
Ability to provide friendly and welcoming service to students, faculty, staff, and community
members
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Outstanding personal organization skills
Must be able
to carry up to 15-20 lbs. up and down stairs
