Library Technician Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas.

Citizenship/Residency:
Must be a U.S. Citizen OR a non-U.S. citizen with 3+ years of U.S. residency. Must be 18 years of age This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.Qualifications Who May Apply:

Specialized experience in a library providing knowledge of library rules, policies, and procedures for circulation and technical service. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Experience or training demonstrating the ability to perform computer processing. Experience in a library providing general knowledge of standard library rules, policies, and procedures in technical services. Typing experience is required. Physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching. Pushing loaded book trucks. Recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (up to 40 pounds). Ability to reach up to 72 inches with or without a step stool. Skill in applying standard customer service practices when dealing with the public. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
