JOB GOAL
To supervise and instruct students on all functions and aspects of using the library.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED Knowledge of library operations and terminology. Experience with library record keeping, book repair, and library technology, including circulation software. Experience using Microsoft Office products, including the creation of documents for library operations. Effective communication skills, especially as a liaison with staff and in dealing with classes in the Library. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., be able to exert 25 - 30 lbs. of force frequently, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, and to sit for long periods of time. Must pass a background clearance Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

REPORTS TO
Principal HOURS:
40 hours per week - Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
CLASSIFICATION
Hourly, Non-exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, and community. Circulate materials to students and staff. Purchase and Process new materials and maintain the collection. Maintain and update shelves as needed, including daily shelving. Track and collect fines for lost or damaged materials. Repair materials as needed. Train staff and volunteers in use of library equipment. Distribute and track the use of equipment to staff as necessary. Implement at least one Book Fair per school year. Track and circulate all textbooks. Instruct classes in library usage, research, literature, etc. Perform other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
