Campus, ILLINOIS Summary Provides archival collection processing support for Music Library and Bill Schurch Sound Archives staff and patrons. Use campus tools and systems effectively to complete job tasks. Essential Functions Arranges and describes archival materials in accordance with professional standards provided by supervisor or written in documentation materials. Uses library and archival platforms as instructed by supervisor. Follows standard library and archives metadata schemas as instructed by supervisor. Creates metadata and inventories of archival collections as instructed by supervisor. Handles rare archival materials. Scans images and photocopies materials for patrons and staff. Performs preservation and conservation treatments as applicable under supervision. Performs other duties as assigned. May train others in operation of digital imaging equipment and software. Minimum Qualifications Requires concentration and strong attention to detail. Basic computer skills required and a desire to learn new skills on the job.
