Job Description

Helen Plum Library is seeking friendly, welcoming, and patron-focused individuals to join the Adult Library Services Team in part-time roles. In this position, you will help patrons at the Adult Library Services desk by assisting with their informational and technological needs. We are seeking candidates who enjoy working with people, have a strong customer service mindset, and are available on evenings and weekends. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide excellent customer services to patrons Assist patrons with a variety of needs at the Adult Library Services information desk, including: Reference Technology-based needs General inquiries Reader's Advisory Ebook and eaudiobook help Study Room bookings Help with various special projects as assigned.
Examples include:
Assistance with the seed library Helping with displays Assisting with collection based tasks, like deselection Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, LTA, or relevant applicable customer service experience Night and weekend availability Experience working with the public
Preferred:
Professional workplace fluency in Spanish Hours Averages 21 hours per week, includes nights and weekends. Schedules will include a regular Saturday shift from 8:45am-1:30pm or 12:30-5:15pm. Schedules may include a regular Sunday shift from 12:45-5.
