Job Description

Circulation Assistant, Harvard Public Library (Harvard) Harvard Public Library (Harvard, MA) has an immediate opening for a part-time (13hrs/wk) Circulation Desk Assistant.

Tentative schedule:

Tuesday 5-8; Wednesday 2-5; Thursday 3-8; and every third Saturday 9:30-4. No benefits.

Responsibilities:

Provide coverage of the circulation desk: charge, renew, and discharge library materials; register new patrons; assist library patrons by responding to inquiries and providing general information in person or on the phone; reshelve library materials as needed; and perform other duties as assigned. Some physical ability required. Qualifications Successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree with library experience preferred; a positive and enthusiastic customer service orientation; an ability to work well with the public and other team members; and excellent communication skills. Dependability and attention to detail is essential. Must be proficient in the use of technology; experience working with an automated library system such as

C/W MARS
