Job Description

Sharon, MA This is an on-call position with no regularly scheduled hours. The Substitute Library Assistant supports circulation services, including: Checking items in and out for patrons Processing delivery boxes Using the library's catalog and circulation software to assist patrons Preparing exhibits and displays Performing other duties as assigned This position reports to the Head of Circulation Services. This is a non-benefited position paying $24.80 per hour, with day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed. An Associate's degree in liberal arts or a related field, or an equivalent combination of coursework and experience, is required. Candidates should have experience working with the public in a customer-service setting; library circulation experience is preferred. Strong computer skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are also required. Experience with Evergreen/Aspen ILS is preferred.
