Job Description
Here's what you can expect to do: Lead and Support Library Services•Oversee youth reference services, including book collections, circulation, and assisting patrons in locating materials.
Manage a Team and Library Programming•Supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and develop engaging programs to meet community needs.
Provide Direct Patron Support•Assist with reference and referral services, collection development, and ensuring access to library resources.
Ensure Smooth Library Operations•Oversee service delivery, address immediate facility concerns with maintenance staff, and ensure a welcoming library environment.
Engage with the Community•Build relationships, develop partnerships, and create programs that support the educational, recreational, and cultural needs of the diverse Saint Paul community served by the downtown Central Library. For more information and essential functions, see our job description.

bachelor's degree and 24 semester credits in courses leading to an American Library Association (ALA) accredited master's degree in Library Science. OR A bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience to include at least two of the following: a library setting, project or program implementation, volunteer coordination, team facilitation, customer service delivery, or community outreach work. OR An associate degree or two years of relevant college coursework; AND three years of professional experience to include at least three of the following: experience in library setting, project or program, volunteer coordination, team facilitation, customer service delivery, or community outreach work.Note:
Five years of vacancy related experience can be substituted for the degree and professional experience combination requirement above.
