This role involves reading a variety of documents, assisting with navigation of web applications and technology, and supporting the employee's ability to perform their duties effectively. The position requires a compassionate, detail-oriented individual committed to facilitating an inclusive and accessible work environment. Duties Read aloud a wide range of work-related materials, including handwritten, printed, and electronic documents, to assist visually impaired employees. Support employees by providing access to technical, administrative, and program-related materials required for their job functions. Assist with navigating computer screens, web applications, and digital forms, ensuring employees can access and interact with online resources and agency software. Provide basic support with adaptive technology, such as screen readers or magnification software, and help troubleshoot minor technology issues as needed. Assist with clerical tasks as needed to ensure smooth workflow and accessibility. Ensure that all reading materials and digital content are accurately conveyed and delivered in a timely manner. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information encountered during duties. Collaborate with employees and team members to meet accessibility needs efficiently. Qualifications Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to read clearly and accurately. Compassionate attitude with a commitment to supporting individuals with visual impairments. Ability to read aloud effectively from various types of documents, including handwritten, printed, and digital formats. Comfort with technology, including navigating web applications and using basic adaptive software. Attention to detail and reliability in completing assigned tasks. Prior experience working with visually impaired individuals, providing technology support, or in a support role is preferred but not required. Basic clerical skills are advantageous for supporting administrative tasks related to the role. Pay:
