Library Services Assistant (3:30pm-12:30am, Sun-Thurs) University of Nebraska - 4.2 Lincoln, NE Job Details Full-time From $17 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Customer service Computer skills Full Job Description This position is responsible for the Weekend and Evening service point coverage of the Love Library Complex, including the Adele Hall Learning Commons and Dinsdale Family Learning Commons, including but not limited to service point and functional student worker supervision, and for building issues, including but not limited to security, closing, and emergency protocols. Scheduled work hours will be Sunday-Thursday, 3:30 pm-12:30am with a 1-hour lunch break. Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year-for-year basis. Effective interpersonal communication/negotiation skills to assist patrons including faculty, staff, students, and community users. Advanced computer operating skills. Preferred Qualifications The ability to operate an integrated library system. General knowledge of library resources. Functional supervision and training skills. We are looking for a dependable and punctual professional who takes pride in following through with commitments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently with minimal direct supervision and possess strong independent problem-solving skills to navigate daily challenges. Success in this role requires attention to detail, time management and organizational skills, and the flexibility to adapt and shift focus as priorities change.
