Rapid City, SD Evenings • Weekends • 7 Days a Week Scheduling Are you looking for a first job or a flexible part-time role where you can make a real difference in your community? Our library is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Library Page to help keep our collections organized and accessible for everyone who walks through our doors. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying active, and being part of a friendly, service-focused team. What You'll Do Provide welcoming, helpful customer service to library visitors Shelve books and other materials accurately and efficiently Maintain orderly collections through regular shelving, shifting, and inventory tasks Locate and retrieve items for holds, missing-item searches, and other reports Use basic technology to communicate with staff, enter work tickets, and track tasks What We're Looking For Age 15 or older Someone who enjoys physical, active work A team player who is dependable, organized, and attentive to detail Comfortable learning simple technology tools Work Schedule This role supports library operations 7 days a week, with shifts that may include: Evenings Weekends Daytime hours as needed Flexibility is important, as schedules are based on library service needs. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is an active, movement-based job.
You will:
Stand, walk, reach, and bend frequently Use your hands regularly to handle materials Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Frequently lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs Work in a moderately noisy environment Use close vision for reading labels and organizing materials Why This Role Matters Library Pages are the backbone of our collections.
