Job Description

Description of Job Duty:
Manage library material circulation and organization and score scantrons, train, schedule, and supervise front desk student assistants. Communicate with patrons about library materials and services. Tennessee Tech is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent with three years of customer service experience, or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with one year of customer service experience. Proficiency with computers and computer software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Essential Functions:
Circulate library materials, maintain material shelving and organization, and score scantrons. Train and supervise Public Services student assistants. Communicate with patrons regarding recalls, overdue materials, requests, and due dates. Process reserve item additions and deletions.

Work Hours:
During fall and spring semesters, the working hours are Sunday through Thursday, 3:30pm -midnight. During the summer semester, the hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30am-6pm. In between semesters, the hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Salary:
Level S2, Grade 6.
