Pay:
$17.75 per hour Work schedule: Full-time, Monday
  • Friday, 8am

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) provides a safe and secure working environment for our staff at the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, TX, while helping detainees gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release. What you'll do: Responsible for coordinating library activities in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.
Essential Functions:
Plan and organize library program for detainees. Adhere to and enforce library policies and programs. Select, acquire and organize library materials for convenient access. Review requests and select books and other library materials according to mental state, educational background, and special needs of detainees. Coordinate the work of detainees assigned to assist in the library and oversee the work of the detainees using the library. Regular attendance is required. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed. Maintain accountability of detainees and property; adhere to safety practices. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her scope of duties as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Six (6) months of library, clerical, administrative or related experience required. Must successfully complete required preservice training. Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Post Hire Requirements:
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility clearance.
