Non-Exempt, Hourly Purpose:
To support a rigorous intervention program for students who have been identified as requiring math and reading interventions and to support universal screenings, data entry, and data teams.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide small group reading or math interventions Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, the interventionist, MTSS Coordinator and special educators to implement an effective intervention program Monitor and track student progress Help administer diagnostic assessments, progress monitor, and enter progress monitoring data as needed Reports to and collaborates with the interventionist Float and support as a sub as needed Apply here: https://phg.tbe.taleo.net/phg04/ats/careers/v2/viewRequisition?org=GREATHEARTS&cws=46&rid=2599Requirements:
Possess an associate degree, 60 hours of college credit, or pass a Paraprofessional Praxis proficiency exam before beginning work At least one year of direct instruction experience in a K-12 setting preferred Knowledge of research-based math and literacy intervention strategiesQualifications, Competencies & Strengths:
Experience with guided reading, benchmark assessments, progress monitoring and small group, adult led instruction preferred Experience with the Primary Math program strongly preferred Training in Spalding Phonics and other reading intervention programs preferred Completion of advanced reading instruction courses and/or certifications preferred (e.g. AIMS Pathways, Science of Reading, Dyslexia Designee Training, etc.) Able to collaborate with teachers, coaches, and administrators Able to manage a flexible schedule and work with students in K-12 in reading, writing, math, and social skill development as necessaryAdditional Requirements:
Type of fingerprint clearance: Must possess or obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP fingerprint clearance card.Physical functions:
Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.Travel required:
