Position Description The Middle School Math Small Group Instructor provides direct, differentiated math instruction to small groups of approximately 6-10 students in grades 6-8. Through evidence-based methodology aligned with Armstrong's mission, the instructor maximizes student strengths and promotes academic success for students with dyslexia and related learning differences. Roles and Responsibilities Instructional Leadership ? Provide direct, differentiated small group math instruction to middle school students ? Identify, select, modify, and create instructional resources in collaboration with grade-level teammates and instructional coaches ? Contribute to additional instructional programming as determined by division needs (e.g., advisory, electives) Family Partnership & Communication ? Conduct three parent-teacher conferences annually (fall intake, mid-year, and end-of-year) ? Prepare comprehensive data-driven report cards each trimester ? Communicate regularly with families to support student success and build strong home-school connections Collaboration & Professional Practice ? Work closely with grade-level teaching team, instructional coaches, division directors, and specialists ? Participate in weekly planning meetings and professional learning communities ? Engage in ongoing professional development related to math instruction and learning differences ?
