Part-time, Monday through Thursday, 9:30 - 12:30 Orion Academy is seeking a long-term math instructor to join our close-knit community for the 2026/2027 school year. This position will focus on teaching Algebra 1A and Algebra 1B, which are introductory-level and slower-paced Algebra 1 courses. About Orion Academy Orion Academy is a small, private high school serving students with neurodiversity, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. While experience with neurodiverse learners is a plus, it's not required. We offer training and support to help teachers succeed in this setting. Our students are bright, capable, and hard-working, and they thrive in our calm, structured environment with small class sizes (3-5 students).

Position Details Courses Taught:

Algebra 1A Algebra 1B Prep Period for grading, lesson planning, and any other miscellaneous tasks

Schedule:

Morning classes only (approximately 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.).

Duration:

2026/2027 school year

Classroom Environment:

Small class sizes (3-5 students) Highly structured and supportive setting Emphasis on organization, planning, and executive functioning Technology-integrated instruction (all students have laptops) Qualifications Can work with our curriculum to teach Algebra Teaching credential in math preferred, but not required Strong classroom management and organizational skills Familiarity with or willingness to learn about working with neurodiverse students Comfort with educational technology Willingness to be part of a warm, community-oriented environment Must be comfortable around dogs (Orion is a dog-friendly campus)

Compensation Salary :
