Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Mathematics Teacher to provide a Christ-centered educational program that inspires and supports student learning in a dynamic classroom environment. Under the direction of the site administrator, the teacher will develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that foster critical thinking, academic growth, and a strong foundation in a wide range of mathematical disciplines. Responsibilities include preparing students for standardized assessments, utilizing innovative teaching methods and technology, assisting with school programs and activities as part of professional duties, and performing other related or adjunct responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities Design and deliver comprehensive mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum standards, covering topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, and molecular biology as applicable. Develop innovative instructional materials and utilize learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding. Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and standardized assessments; provide timely feedback to support continuous improvement. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation. Incorporate research-based instructional strategies including lesson planning, curriculum development, and special education techniques when appropriate. Mentor students individually or in groups to support their academic achievement and personal growth. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, instructional best practices, and school-wide initiatives such as academic advising and behavior management. Engage in ongoing professional development related to teaching methodologies, scientific research, laboratory experiences, and educational administration. Experience Prior classroom experience teaching high school mathematics or related STEM subjects in private or public school settings. Demonstrated expertise in core math areas including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, and genetics. Experience integrating learning technology tools into lesson plans and assessments. Proven ability to manage diverse classrooms while maintaining high standards of instruction and student engagement. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring strategies for student success. Background in scientific research or laboratory experience in biology (cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry) is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills combined with the ability to mentor students effectively across different learning styles. Knowledge of special education practices and behavior management techniques enhances your capacity to support all learners.
