Duties Develop comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to various math competitions, including topics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, and discrete math. Design and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate innovative learning technology and interactive activities to enhance understanding. Provide targeted tutoring and test preparation support for students participating in math competitions or seeking advanced math skills. Deliver online instruction through virtual platforms, ensuring clear communication and effective engagement with students of diverse backgrounds. Assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback and adjusting instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, fostering a positive environment conducive to active participation and collaboration. Stay current with educational best practices, including special education strategies and differentiated instruction techniques. Requirements Proven experience teaching math at the middle school or high school level, particularly with teenagers. Strong knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts such as differential equations, organic chemistry (for interdisciplinary applications), biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, physiology, anatomy, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, data structures, machine learning, and early childhood education as applicable. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that integrates learning technology tools effectively. Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to work with students of varying skill levels and backgrounds. Experience in tutoring science-related subjects such as chemistry or biology is a plus. Familiarity with online instruction platforms and digital teaching resources. Strong computer skills including familiarity with educational software and data analysis tools. Passion for working with children and adolescents in an educational setting; experience working with special education needs is advantageous.
