Job Description

Company Overview Our school has been a leader in high-quality education for over 50 years. Summary A private Christian school, is seeking an experienced and dedicated educator to teach High School Math (Algebra I and Geometry) and High School Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics). The ideal candidate will be able to differentiate effectively within the classroom to meet the needs of both advanced and developing learners, provide creative and engaging instruction, and deliver timely, constructive feedback on student work. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and teach engaging lessons in High School Math and High School Science that align with school standards. Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of learning abilities, including advanced students and those needing additional support. Use creative teaching strategies and resources to make math accessible, relevant, and engaging. Incorporate technology and hands-on activities to enhance student learning. Provide timely, detailed feedback on assignments, assessments, and projects. Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance. Offer additional support through tutoring, enrichment opportunities, or small group instruction. Foster a positive, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment. Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure productive learning time. Work closely with colleagues and administrators to support student success. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Stay current on best practices in math instruction and differentiation.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Math Education, Science or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience:
Prior teaching experience in middle school and/or high school math preferred. Proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong knowledge of the teaching subjects. Creative, organized, and adaptable teaching style. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
