Edith Teter Elementary is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Second Grade Teacher for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an educator who values relationships, creates a structured and engaging classroom environment, and is committed to both academic and social-emotional growth for all students.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction in all core subjects
• Create a structured, positive classroom environment that supports student learning and behavior
• Monitor and assess student progress using both formative and summative data
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic needs
• Provide targeted small-group instruction and interventions
• Foster strong relationships with students and families
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration
• Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress regularly
• Support school-wide expectations and contribute to a positive school culture
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal

Edith Teter Elementary is a small K-5 school located in Fairplay, Colorado, offering a supportive team environment and a strong focus on positive school culture. Our staff prioritizes collaboration, consistency, and doing what is best for students. We provide unique learning opportunities through:

• Enrichment programming that extends learning beyond the classroom Fairplay Colorado is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains at 10,000 feet.

COMPENSATION

• Salary commensurate with education and experience.
• 4-day school week (Monday-Thursday), 7:30AM-4:30PM
• 153 contracted days
